What people ask me most
How much does air conditioner installation cost in Novi Sad?
It depends on the unit's capacity, how many metres of copper line are needed, and whether I am drilling through brick or reinforced concrete. A standard inverter unit up to 12000 BTU with three metres of piping is the most common job. I quote the exact price over the phone after a few questions, and that price does not change once I am at your door.
How long does an installation take?
Two to three hours for a standard split unit, including drilling, mounting the brackets, running the line, vacuuming the system and testing. If the outdoor unit needs a cherry picker because of the facade, we arrange that in advance.
Do you speak English?
Yes. We can arrange everything in English by phone, WhatsApp or Viber, and I will explain what needs doing and what it costs before I start. Written messages are welcome if you would rather have the quote in writing.
My AC is not cooling. Does it just need a refrigerant top-up?
An air conditioner does not consume refrigerant. It is a sealed system, so if there is not enough, it is leaking somewhere. I locate the leak first, repair the joint or the pipe, and only then recharge the system. Topping it up without finding the leak means you will be paying for the same gas again in a month.
Can you install an air conditioner in a rented flat?
Yes, but the owner has to agree first, because installation means drilling through an exterior wall and mounting brackets on the facade. It is worth agreeing in writing who pays and what happens to the unit when you move out. If you later move, I can also remove and refit the same unit at your new address.
